Customers have an account with their order history, addresses and a wish list. You put them in a group, and each group can have its own prices, discounts and tax treatment. One store serves both retail customers and wholesale buyers.
The customer group decides which prices a customer sees, which discounts they are entitled to and how VAT is calculated for them.
The same product can cost a regular customer something different than a wholesale buyer or a loyal customer. After logging in, everyone sees their group’s prices.
Tier prices only for a selected group, for example cheaper from 10 units for wholesale.
You limit sales, discount rules and coupons to the groups they should apply to.
When a customer enters a VAT ID, the store verifies it in the European VIES system. Based on the result, it puts the customer in a group: VAT payer in the Czech Republic, VAT payer from another EU country, or regular customer.
You can invoice VAT payers from other EU countries under the reverse charge, that is without VAT.
You decide which group the customer goes into in each case.
