We do the Magento Open Source 2.4 upgrades, and we do them regularly. Changes follow upgrade‑safe standards, so the next version isn’t a project.
When the store misbehaves, finding the cause is part of the flat fee. You don’t pay for every hour of diagnostics.
Your agency or developer keeps fine‑tuning the theme through Git and code review. The backend and integrations are built and guaranteed by the Deedhold team.
You’re not locked in anywhere. You can leave any time, with no penalties - your code is in the repository, and we prepare a complete database export for you free of charge.
As part of the migration we tidy up your Magento, upgrade it and move it to Hyvä - it’s part of the move, not a separate project. We review the code and extensions in an audit first.

We clean up the code and extensions, upgrade to the current Magento 2.4, build the Hyvä frontend and migrate the data.

Acceptance tests against a checklist agreed in advance, including integrations and redirects.

Magento 1
Support for Magento 1 ended on June 30, 2020, and no security patches have been released for it since. We move you to Magento Open Source 2.4: we migrate the data, but the theme and extensions have to be rebuilt, because they don’t carry over from Magento 1 to Magento 2.
Custom code
First we review them in the audit. Whatever meets upgrade‑safe standards, we migrate. Where that’s not possible, we propose a tested module or a change. Custom backend code we assess case by case, always with a budget up front.
Agency
Yes. Your agency can change the theme (the Hyvä frontend) without limits, through pull requests and code review. Backend modules and integrations are built by the Deedhold team, which is how we guarantee operations and smooth upgrades.
Upgrades
We do, as part of the flat fee. We deploy security patches and upgrades within Magento 2.4 ourselves, after testing. You don’t pay for them separately.
Price
The cleanup, the upgrade to the current version and the move to Hyvä are part of the migration. With an annual commitment, the basic migration project and a basic theme are included in the price. Without a commitment, a migration project starts at €2,000 excl. VAT. A custom design or a larger scope gets a fixed quote up front.
SEO
Coming from Magento 2, usually not. Where a URL does change, for example when moving from Magento 1, we set up 301 redirects and verify them on staging.
Expansion
On one Magento installation you can build dozens of stores - each with its own domain, language, currency and independent prices. You don’t pay for an extra store, only for server capacity.
