Deedhold

Sales, coupons and price lists. No retyping prices by hand.

You set a discount up once as a rule, and Magento switches it on, calculates it and switches it off again by itself. Wholesale or VIP customers see different prices than regular visitors. Coupons for a campaign you generate by the thousand.

Discounts as rules, not manual work

Magento knows two kinds of discounts: those that change the price right in the catalog, and those calculated in the cart based on what’s in it.

How a buy 3 get 1 free rule is evaluated Flow: the cart holds 4 pairs of socks at €6 each, subtotal €24. Step 1, who and when: the rule applies to all customers from October 1 to 31, met. Step 2, condition: at least 4 items from the Socks category in the cart, met. Step 3, action: buy 3, get the fourth free, discount €6. The customer pays €18. BUY 3 GET 1 FREE RULE CART Basic Socks · 4 pcs × €6 €24 1 · WHO AND WHEN all customers, Oct 1 to 31 met 2 · CONDITION at least 4 pcs from the Socks category met 3 · ACTION buy 3, get the fourth free -€6 TO PAY €18 The discount shows in the cart as a separate line.

Cart discount rules

A rule has three parts: who it applies to and when, what condition the cart has to meet, and what discount the customer gets for it. The store recalculates it every time the cart changes.

A discount above a certain amount, on a combination of products, a buy 3 get 1 free deal or free shipping.

With a coupon or without one. Without a coupon, the discount applies by itself as soon as the cart meets the condition.

One jacket, different prices: the customer pays the lowest valid one Price table for one jacket for a guest and for a wholesale customer. The regular price of €100 applies to both. The sale price of €85 from November 1 to 14 applies to both. A -10% catalog rule for registered customers gives wholesale €90 and does not apply to the guest. The Wholesale group price of €80 applies only to wholesale. The guest pays €85, wholesale pays €80. HORIZON JACKET Guest Wholesale Regular price always applies €100 €100 Sale price Nov 1 to 14 €85 €85 Catalog rule -10% on jackets, registered only n/a €90 Group price Wholesale group only n/a €80 Customer pays €85 €80 lowest valid price - what they pay does not apply to this customer

Every customer sees their own price

One product can have a regular price, a sale price with dates, a discount from a catalog rule and a customer group price. Of the prices that apply to the customer, Magento always uses the lowest.

A sale price switches on and off by itself on the dates you set and shows the original price struck through.

A catalog rule discounts a whole category, brand or products with a given attribute without editing each product.
