Deedhold

Cards, bank transfers and cash on delivery. The payments your customers are used to.

Customers want to pay the way they are used to: by card, with Apple Pay, by bank transfer or cash on delivery. Online payments are handled by a payment gateway, the classic methods are built into Magento. You turn each one on only where it makes sense.

The right payments for every country

You decide which payments a customer sees at checkout. For each method you set the countries it applies to, and for cash on delivery also an order value limit.

Which payments a customer sees by country Example setup in a table. Card payment, Apple Pay and Google Pay are offered in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany. Bank transfer only in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Cash on delivery in the Czech Republic up to €400 and in Slovakia, hidden in Germany. PayPal is offered only in Germany. EXAMPLE SETUP Czechia Slovakia Germany Card Apple Pay, Google Pay offered offered offered Bank transfer with payment instructions offered offered hidden Cash on delivery with a value limit up to €400 offered hidden PayPal PayPal account hidden hidden offered offered at checkout customers from this country won’t see it

Each payment only where it makes sense

A Slovak customer doesn’t need to see a bank transfer with Czech instructions, and a customer from Germany doesn’t need cash on delivery you don’t ship there. You enable each payment method only for the countries you choose.

You limit cash on delivery by country and by order value.

A store for another market can have a completely different set of payments.

How a card payment flows Two columns: the store and the payment gateway. The customer chooses card at the store checkout, enters the card details at the payment gateway, the gateway verifies the payment and sends the result to the store, the order is paid. A saved card stays with the gateway, not in the store. CARD PAYMENT Store Payment gateway Adyen, Global Payments, Mollie… STEP 1 Customer chooses card at the store checkout STEP 2 Enters card details at the gateway, not in the store STEP 3 Gateway verifies payment and sends the store the result DONE The order is paid and goes to fulfillment Saved card stays with the gateway

Card details stay with the gateway

When paying by card, the customer enters the details at the payment gateway. The store learns the payment result and moves the order on for fulfillment.

A card saved for the next purchase is held by the payment gateway, not by the store.
