Another language, currency or store costs nothing extra. You pay for server capacity, not for the number of stores.
Czechia, Slovakia, another brand or wholesale: in Magento these aren’t four stores, but one. You manage the catalog, inventory and orders from one admin, and give each market its own domain, language, currency and prices. Another country or a second store costs you nothing extra: you pay for server capacity, not for the number of stores.
You have the catalog, inventory and orders only once. On top of them sit the websites for individual markets, and under each website its language versions.
Magento has three levels: website, store and language version (store view). A website has its own domain, customers, prices and payment settings. A store has its own category tree. A language version has its own texts.
You create a product once and tick the websites it should be sold on.
You see orders from all websites in one overview and filter them by store.
Almost every setting in Magento has three levels: a default value, a value for the website and a value for the language version. You change only what should differ, everything else is inherited.
Payments, shipping and taxes separately for each website - in Slovakia, for example, different carriers than in Czechia.
Its own design, logo, e‑mails and document number sequences for each store.
Translating texts and converting prices at an exchange rate is just the start. The difference is in how much can be different for each market.
Separately for each language: product names and descriptions, categories, content pages and blocks, page URLs, meta titles and descriptions, and transactional e‑mails.
Whatever you don’t translate is taken from the default version. So you can roll out a new language step by step.
Czech is done: a complete Czech translation for customers and staff is part of Deedhold.
Linking language versions for search engines (hreflang) is in preparation.
The customer switches currency right on the website and prices are converted at the exchange rate.
Exchange rates update automatically on schedule, or you enter them by hand.
Want your own price list instead of conversion? Each website can have its own prices in its own currency - for example Czechia in CZK and Slovakia in EUR.
VAT follows the destination country, so sales to other EU countries are calculated at the right rate too.
